My Bio

Wow, you're actually reading this section. I'm very impressed and you must be very bored. Okay, here is goes in a nutshell. Well, I'm an actor/import from Texas. I lived in the Dallas area for the most part, but I was born and raised in Houston. My father was in the oil business and so we traveled a lot in my early years. I have never lived anywhere for longer than four years at a time. It was cool as I got to see the world, but it sucked because I never really had a base. I was forced to developed a great sense of humor as being funny was my way of making new friends in my ever changing environments. I was the 'funny guy' and in my mid twenties, I decided to become an 'actor' because "how hard could it be?" I watched Baywatch a few times and this 'acting' thing looked easy. From there, I moved to Dallas and studied in a two-year conservatory program. I loved it and it was there that I learned what acting was really about. I loved the challenge of how hard it was to do well and the work involved to be 'natural'.  My biggest assets as an actor and as a person are my insane work ethic and ambition. I love the work behind my work.

In those two years, I was at school all day taking classes in everything from Voice and Movement to Shakespeare and Mime. I studied the work of such great playwrights as Harold Pintor, Sam Shepard, David Mamet and Anton Chekhov to name a few. We studied the teachings of legendary acting legends as Strasberg, Stanislavski, Adler and Sanford Meisner. I hate using the clichéd label, but yeah um...I'm a classically trained actor. Enough of that talk. In my off time, I did every play and student film I could get in. I graduated with straight 'A's and an Associates Degree in Drama. That and $4.50 gets me any Starbucks drink I want. Joking aside, the training I got was invaluable.

I now live in LA pursuing my acting career. Although I don't call myself a 'screenwriter', I co-wrote The Prodigy which was produced and is doing well. Critics gave major kudos to both the script and me as an actor, so good for me. I wrote another screenplay entitled The Underneath. It was a sci-fi drama and after several really bad movies were produced with similar stories, I had no desire to produce or be in it, so I sold it. I am currently working on another crime drama entitled, The Wicked Garden with The Prodigy's director William Kaufman.
